Curls With Monat
I know it's hard to find the right combo of products to get the curls you want to look at AND touch. I just starting using Monat...used it once at a Wine and Wash about 10 days Ago, washed my hair with my regular sulfate free stuff five days later, then got my Monat in the mail and just used it again for the second time today.
I just want to explain the pictures. The bottom right was at the Wine and Wash. I got the whole shebang, Renew Shampoo, the Masque, Revitalize Conditioner, Oil, and Rejuvabeads on the ends. After it was all rinsed I just put the leave in conditioner and Half a pump of Moxie Mousse to finish. The picture on the left is today. I have all of the stuff I used at the Wine and Wash, but, for fun I only did the shampoo, and the revitalize conditioner with some oil in the shower. Then I used only leave in conditioner (2 pumps) and less than a half pump of mousse. Like a TINY bit on the ends mainly. You can see that on the right my hair was a lot heavier, but softer and frizz free. I let it air dry for a few minutes and then used the diffuser. The left picture I let it air dry a few minutes and then used the diffuser. I can't believe how great my curls look in both pictures with different finishes/textures! Today was a test to see mainly what the shampoo and conditioner was like on its own. The leave in conditioner is a must for my hair because it's very dry, but it's so easy to scrunch in my hair. The root volume and softness that this stuff gives is so awesome. If you feel like your hair is tangled in the shower when you wash with these products, don't let that stop you.
I ALWAYS WORK THE CONDITIONER THROUGH MY CURLS IN THE SHOWER WITH MY FINGERS AND REMOVE THE TANGLES.
I don't brush or use a wide- tooth comb. I gently finger comb (while conditioner is on) until all of the tangles are out and I can slide my fingers through easily, then I flip my hair upside down and do the same thing under the water while I rinse the conditioner. You might think a lot of hair comes out, but it's because you don't brush your hair until you get in the shower and all of those shedding hairs are trapped in your curls...especially if you only wash once or twice a week like I do.
